Periodontology is a branch of dentistry that deals with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the tissues surrounding the teeth and tooth-like structures (gums, cementum, alveolar bone, periodontal ligament). Dentists who have a doctorate to perform these applications are called periodontologists. In addition to periodontal diseases, conditions related to gingival aesthetics, dental implant applications, oral care interventions are all within the scope of periodontology.
The aim of education in our department is to provide education in an environment dominated by love and tolerance, equipped with up-to-date information and technology. The basis of our educational philosophy is to create an atmosphere that makes students feel happy for successfully completing their periodontology internship, but bitter for leaving. Who can express their opinions freely, Our aim is to train competent dentists who can ask questions without fear, who can question themselves as both human and physician when necessary, who are equipped with up-to-date and indispensable information, who are aware that they serve humanity, not people, while doing their profession.
