Pedodontics (Pediatric Dentistry) is a branch of dentistry that deals with the oral dental health of children from birth to adolescence, where preventive applications are made to prevent caries formation during the period of deciduous and early permanent dentition, restorative techniques and pulp treatment techniques are used to treat material losses due to decay or trauma in deciduous and permanent teeth, and placeholder applications are performed to maintain arch integrity in case of tooth loss.

The fact that children's dental treatments are carried out by pedodontist dentists trained in this field provides a great deal of convenience for children to have their treatment done without fear of the dentist in psychological terms. Children should not neglect their dental health and being guided and treated by specialised physicians ensures that they are conscious individuals and parents in terms of dental health.
